JOB DESCRIPTION
CDL Class A & B TRUCK DRIVERS – Lubricants Division:
Will be responsible for operating company owned and leased vehicles safely to deliver products to the customers. Load and unload products on the trucks. Operate vehicle safely and in compliance with all traffic laws. Report any malfunctions of the equipment. Obtain signatures on the delivery tickets when possible. Follow scheduling and routing of deliveries and make deliveries on time as scheduled. Follow proper procedures for reporting any accidents or spills. Collects cash or checks on C.O.D. orders.
A DRIVER MUST:
Possess a valid, current Class A (or B) driver’s license from the State of North Carolina. Consent to and pass pre-employment, random, reasonable cause, and post-accident drug screens.
Hazmat preferred.
Take and pass the Department of Transportation (DOT) physical requirements.
Be able to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Meet Campbell Oil Company’s minimum qualifications.
Adhere to all applicable state and federal laws including, but not limited to the DOT and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Safely load and unload trailer, truck bed or box unit.
Act responsibly and according to company policy regarding spills and/or product contamination. Follow all company policies (written or verbal) as directed by company handbook, dispatchers, or company officers.
Be able to bend in order to pullup metal plate weighing 25 pounds and to connect a fitting to an above/underground storage tank.
Understand and speak English, including the ability to hear the spoken word.
Be able to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from 0 degrees to 100 degrees F.
Have a telephone.
Protect Company assets at all times.
Keep customer and company information confidential at all times.
Present good personal appearance and a good attitude to the public and our customers.
Give service promptly (on time) and courteously to all customers.
Have acceptable driving record to satisfy Campbell Oil Company’s insurance carrier requirements.
Comply with training requirements and handle hazardous materials in a safe manner.
Keep inside of tractor clean so as to safely operate the vehicle and display a clean image.
Be able to react to a fire by lifting a fire extinguisher weighing at least 25 pounds and properly using it in the fire area.
Meet attendance standards, be trustworthy, use sound judgement, be safety conscious and service oriented.
