While we are looking for a full time Truck Driver (Class C), candidates with a Class A or B license are highly encouraged to apply, as those credentials will open doors to growth opportunities within Golden State Lumber. *This position is located onsite and is not a remote or hybrid position.

Responsibilities/Job Description:

• In addition to driving, this position is also responsible for loading and unloading building materials at select locations. 
• Maintaining your delivery vehicle and providing assistance in the yard when necessary
• Operate multiple styles of flatbed trucks.
• Unload & load building materials at various locations.
• Operate a forklift - must be able to obtain a valid forklift certification.
• Safely climb in and out of a truck and trailer; sit for extended periods of time in truck and/or forklift.
• Must be able to lift 100 pounds.
• Able to work in a non-climate controlled facility.

Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• Possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License (Class A or Class B license is a plus)
• Must have a friendly and positive attitude and work well in team environment
• Computer literacy preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age (insurance requirement)
• Driving records must be able to pass insurance requirements
• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Completion of a background check that is satisfactory to the employer

Medical and Dental are effective the first of the month following your date of hire.  Your cost for medical and dental benefits are based on the type of coverage you have as well as your payment tier.  Golden State will cover the full cost for the first month of your medical and dental benefits.  After the first month, your medical and dental premium contributions will be deducted out of your paycheck.
