Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO NON CDL Class C Truck Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Richmond, CA

$1500 - $1700 a week - And it gets better

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Hourly Pay: $26.52 Per Hour
  • Hours Per Week: 55 + hours per week 
  • Paid Training
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday
  • Start Time: 2:30 AM - 5:00 AM Dispatch 
  • 10 - 14 hour days OT after 8 hrs

 

 

 

  • Deliver SOLO To:  Reddings to Fresno, Bay area to Lake Tahoe
  • Route: Home Daily
  • Tractor Type: Straight Truck
  • Trailer Type: 16' 24' 26' Straight truck with Reefer 
  • Equipment: Lift Gates or Ramps, Hand trucks and Pallet Jacks
  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
  • Freight: Touch – Nonalcholic and alcoholic Beverages 

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment:
    • 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 
    • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years 
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.

Responsibilities

  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Other tasks as assigned
