You might be wondering what your paycheck will look like. 

 

$850 or more per week - And it gets better

  • Driver Positions Pay Weekly
  • Hourly Pay: $21.00 Per Hour
  • Hours Per Week: 40 - 45 hours per week
  • Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel - Typically 1-2 overnights per week
  • Paid Training
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday 
  • Start Time: 5:00am - 7:00am dispatch

  • Deliver As a Team or Solo: Southern CO 
  • Tractor Type: Straight Truck (Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience)
  • Trailer Type: 26' Straight Truck
  • Equipment: Pallet Jack and Liftgate
  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
  • Freight: Touch – Cable Equipment/Electronic Equipment

Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide.

Requirements






  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Minimum of 9 months of verifiable driving experience
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Must have verifiable driving experience in like equipment:
    • 9 Months experience in the past 3 years, OR 
    • 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
    • 5 years' experience within the last 10 years 
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Important Note:  Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accounts.








Responsibilities






  • This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle within and requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service.
  • Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Other tasks as assigned
