Summary

Responsible for hauling pipe, tools and equipment to and from location securing safe and legal loads on a 24 / 7 on call basis.

Functional Responsibilities

  • Ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of hauling with a flatbed truck trailer. 
  • Ability and demonstrate securing load with chain and straps.
  • Demonstrates comprehensive understand of pre / post trip guidelines. 
  • Extensive knowledge of all D.O.T. requirements.
  • Maintain driver qualification records and driving records.
  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to assist in the shop or field when not driving.
  • Required to work on 24 hours call basis.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies.
  • Complies with Company Rules and Regulations
  • Ensure Personal Training is Up-To-Date
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

 

License and Certifications:

  • Required Class A CDL which meets Company policy guidelines
  • Must be able to operator Tractor Trailer without restrictions
  • Must be able to operate CMV with air brakes without restrictions

Required Skills

  • Experience – 6 Months plus
  • Language Skills - Ability to read and comprehend simple oral and written instructions and effectively communicate/present      information one-on-one or in small group situations.
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.   
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, professional journals, technical              procedures and/or government regulations.  
  • Mathematical Skills - Basic Skills – Ability to read measurements and learn key metrics. 
  • Reasoning Skills - Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.   
  • Multi-tasking skills 

 

Required Knowledge

  • Preferred knowledge of industry/service line/field equipment 
  • Must have knowledge of D.O.T Regulations and Guidelines and adhere to all. 
  • Must have knowledge of use of basic hand tools and oil field tools
  • Must have ability to comprehend Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and guidelines for implementation of SOP               procedures and guidelines and Company policies.  
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have ability to understand the English language.
  • Must have the ability to find job locations in a timely manner

Physical Demands

  • This job requires frequent heavy work which is typical of an oilfield job.  
  • Employee will be exposed to outdoor weather elements, high noise and the potential of chemicals and fumes or gasses.  
  • Employee will stand or walk 30% of the time and frequently be asked to bend, squat, reach or climb.
  • Employee must be physically capable of lifting, pulling, pushing tools and equipment up to 50lbs in a safe manner. 
  • Employee must be willing to work in a 24/7 environment
  • Employee must have ability to work extended hours on location and / or away from home for extended periods.
