Class A driver needed to organize, perform and complete the delivery of meal, pelleted & bagged feeds to order while Monitoring for quality assurance as needed. Completion of daily required paperwork.


Job Functions:

Organize and perform assigned tasks for feed delivery including, but not limited to:

· Safety Oriented; reports and/or executes resolve of hazards, wears all PPE required in areas required

· Maintain compliance with Gold Star / DOT / FMCSA regulatory Programs

· Maintaining daily maintenance of the trucks for safety & compliance standards

· Maintaining weekly minor maintenance such as greasing

· Completing and documenting Pre and post shift inspections and Daily truck logs

· Loading / Unloading a Bag truck with pallets, including in inclement weather and ground conditions

· Unloading vendor trucks at the dock

· Learn to use Equipment safely - Ability to run a lift gate, pallet jack, fork lift

· Shrink wrap and label pallets as necessary

· Ability to load outbound feed trucks –being able to take samples, utilizing the Weighflow system & verifying correct feed weights.

· Strive to deliver the correct feed to the correct farm and the correct location on the farm; learning farm specific details

· Leaving the farm exactly as it was when we arrived – closing gates, fences, doors, etc

· Reporting of any issues encountered to the customer or the mill

· Ability to build and maintain good customer relationships

· Learn and understand our feed products

· Keeps truck as clean as possible

· Assist with any other tasks as requested or assigned by management



Requirements

·High school diploma or equivalent is preferred

· Have and maintain a valid CDL License, with a clean driving record

· Minimum of 1 year CDL driving experience or prior Entry Level training program

· Ability to carry 55 lb bags; Climb ladders on trucks, at the mill and on farm bins; working at heights - in harsh environments (hot

weather, cold weather, dusty environments, uneven ground conditions)

· Exhibit good work habits, including excellent attendance and individual productivity

· This position could include working weekends, holidays or on call as needed

Requires the successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen, medical questionnaire and a background check. Reports to the Truck Dispatcher
