As an Over the Road Driver, you will operate a variety of tractor/trailer combinations including semis, dually, two-car trailers, enclosed trailers, 6-car haulers, and more. You will transport vehicles to various locations locally and across the United States to provide vehicles to our clients for shows, events, and international stages.  

  

Salary Overview:

The pay for this position starts at $33 per hour.

 

Over the Road Driver Responsibilities Include:  

  • Load and unload vehicles onto the truck.
  • Operate a variety of tractor/trailer combinations including semi, dually, two-car trailers, enclosed trailers, 6-car haulers, etc.  
  • Transport vehicles to various locations locally and across the United States.  
  • Interface on-site with location technicians and client representatives.  
  • Ensure contents are properly secured to prevent breakage or damage.  
  • Safely and efficiently handle and load/unload goods at selected destinations.  
  • Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.  
  • Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.  
  • Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.  
  • Track and report working hours.  
  • Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions. 

Over the Road Driver Qualifications and Skills:   

  • Mechanical and/or car hauling experience is a plus.  
  • Valid Driver’s License with CDL-A endorsement. 
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical. 
  • Must have exceptional oral and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems. 
  • Must have exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.  
  • Must be a self-starter.  
  • Must be a reliable team player with a high attention to detail.  
  • Auto transportation experience preferred.  

Over the Road Driver Working Conditions and Physical Demands Include:  

  • This position requires being able to lift 50 lbs., work overhead, kneel, squat, or work from compromising positions for short periods of time.  
  • 50% of the time this job will be completed while sitting.  
  • 50% of the time this job will be completed doing the following: standing, walking, lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, and cramped or in confined spaces.   
  • This position requires working outdoors and in inclement weather.
