Responsibilities






Commercial Drivers at Coastal Waste & Recycling are the backbone of our operations. They navigate heavy-duty trucks through busy streets and congested areas, hauling loads exceeding 1000 pounds with precision and care. But it's not just about drivingβ€”it's about ensuring the safety of everyone on the road. Drivers must stay vigilant, constantly scanning for potential hazards and promptly reporting any concerns.

In addition to safe driving practices, our drivers conduct thorough vehicle inspections, communicate effectively with managers and dispatch, and provide outstanding customer service to the communities we serve. Success in this role hinges on organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit that helps us improve efficiency and effectiveness every day.









Qualifications






To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment DOT drug screen and DOT physical.
  • Possess a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License.
  • Physical strength to occasionally push, pull carts up to 75 lbs., along with bending, twisting, and lifting.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to navigate digital maps and mapping systems.
