CDL Truck Driver Class A

Our company seeks a trustworthy CDL Class A driver to transport scrap metals from our distribution center throughout the Northeastern regions. Job Summary: The CDL A Driver position at Weitsman Recycling requires the candidate to transport materials to and from designated locations safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), a strong commitment to safety, and a demonstrated ability to operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles.

Responsibilities:

1. Safe Operation of Commercial Vehicles:
   • Operate company-owned commercial vehicles, including but not roll-off trucks and other specialized equipment.
   • Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards.
   • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the proper functioning of the vehicle.
2. Material Transportation:
   • Safely load, transport, and unload recyclable materials between various locations.
   • Ensure that materials are secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
3. Navigation:
   • Utilize navigation tools and devices to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
4. Customer Service:
   • Interact in a professional and courteous manner during material pickups and deliveries.
   • Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or issues promptly.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.
   • Submit required paperwork, such as delivery receipts and logbooks, in a timely manner.
6. Vehicle Maintenance:
   • Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.
   • Coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Strong commitment to safety and adherence to regulations.
• Ability to operate heavy-duty commercial vehicles and equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools.

Pay: $26.00
