Under general supervision, safely operates commercial vehicles while delivering customer and company equipment. The driver will be responsible for performing vehicle inspections to ensure its safe operation in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Drivers will assist in loading and unloading crane equipment from trailers, as well as assisting in the setup and tear down of cranes once it is on site. Also, drivers may be required to work long hours and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules, regulations, and the precautions necessary to prevent accidents. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; willingness to perform routine and heavy manual work for an extended period under difficult weather conditions; ability to lift and carry heavy equipment; good physical condition. Must be highly motivated and able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to work under pressure effectively. Demonstrates strong customer focus skills, effective documentation, team work, and communication skills. Excellent oral and written communications and human relations skills.
Education, Training, and Experience
Completion of ninth grade required. High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years old with two years of verifiable recent experience driving a Class A commercial vehicle, possesses a current Class A/B Commercial Driverβs License (CDL), an acceptable moving violations record, and a current Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card. Other combinations of applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform in the position may be considered.
