Class B Local Dump Truck Driver

Job Overview

The Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport aggregates, sand, and other materials and/or equipment to various job sites. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks.

Responsibilities

• Comply with DOT rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures


• Preform daily pre/post trip inspections with appropriate documentation


• Grease trucks and trailers as needed during pre/post trip inspections


• Check fluid levels, tires, lights, and other controls for safe function


• Maintain daily vehicle mileage logs


• Unroll truck tarp to cover load when required


• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and insure you are dumping in the designated location for that product


• Clean bed before loading when required


• Retain fuel/toll receipts

Qualifications

• Clean Class B CDL required


• Current DOT Health Card


• Must pass drug screen and background check
