Route Truck Driver

Sunshine Quality Solutions is looking for a Route Truck Driver. This individual operates vehicles to transport parts, small equipment, supplies, and paperwork between dealer facilities. What You’ll Do

The route truck driver runs a regular itinerary among selected Sunshine branches, maintains records of pickup and deliveries, and obtains necessary signatures and receipts. This individual is responsible for maintaining assigned trucks and related equipment in good condition and maintaining all required certifications in line with DOT, OSHA, and company policies. In addition, the route truck driver accounts for all time and distance traveled in performing assigned duties.

Qualifications

What’s Required

• Hold a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record
• Chauffeurs Class D
• Ability to work independently
• Must pass a DOT medical exam

What’s Preferred

• Experience driving a route
• Forklift certification

Physical Requirements

• While performing the essential job functions, the employee may be required to sit/ stand for a duration of time while using their hands and fingers to operate a computer and/ or telephone.
• Operate different types of equipment in order to load, unload, properly strap, and bind equipment to a trailer in accordance with DOT regulations and guidelines.
• This position requires specific vision abilities, such as having the visual acuity to read words or numbers on the computer screen and paper.
• Occasionally, the individual may lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.
