Seasonal Truck Driver

The City of Saco is looking for a Seasonal Truck Driver to join our team at the Public Works Department. This individual is responsible for assisting with construction labor, equipment operation, and truck driving. This position will be from Oct/Nov - April. 

Essential Duties and Responsibiliites:

• Operates a variety of equipment such as automobiles, pick-up trucks, dump trucks, medium rated loaders and similarly rated vehicles or equipment.
• Hauls merchandise, equipment and supplies as directed.
• Performs semi-skilled labor associated with Public Works maintenance and construction activities.
• Maintains all operating equipment in good operating condition.
• May operate trucks, plows and snow blowers during snow and ice removal.
• Requires overtime, both scheduled and non-scheduled.
• Makes minor repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• Services specialized equipment by adjusting belts, oiling, and greasing as needed.
• Performs related work as requested.
• May work in a group of workers on a special maintenance or construction operation.
