Description

  

Essential Job Functions

  • Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Complete and document daily inspections
  • Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes
  • Obtain oversize and weight permits
  • Maintain driver logs according to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles promptly
  • Secure cargo for transport or towing with applicable restraints including appropriate blocks, chains, binders, or straps where   applicable
  • Stop at all weigh stations along routes to comply with federal, state and local regulations
  • Drive trucks with capacities greater than 26,000 GVRW, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport, tow, and deliver products and other materials
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required
  • Inventory and inspect goods to be transported; note any discrepancies in quantities or conditions
  • Assemble/Setup new implements and equipment arriving into the dealership
  • Clean and detail new/used equipment
  • Assist Service Technicians as needed, to include performing basic maintenance on Company equipment, delivery of parts, repairing, servicing, and moving equipment
  • General lot maintenance - keeping the lot organized and tidy, maintaining the lawn, parking lot, and equipment displays
  • General building maintenance - preventative projects to maintain cleanliness, appearance, and safety of the facility
  • Clean, organize, and maintain the condition of the shop, inventory, tools, and equipment
  • Equipment staging for customer events
  • General background knowledge of all equipment/machinery available through the dealership for ease of operation and maintenance
  • Adhere to and enforce all safety regulations and wear all safety equipment as required
  • Participate in training as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

  

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certification
  • 2 or more years of related work experience
  • Safety-minded work habits
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines efficiently and cost effectively


Physical Requirement

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., climb stairs, reach, push, pull, lean, twist, kneel, and bend
  • Fitness to work in adverse and extreme weather conditions


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience hauling agricultural equipment
  • Forklift certification
