Description

Job Purpose

 

The role of Track Material Truck Driver is vital to successful project completion. This position will perform material and/or equipment transportation for projects in accordance with project scheduling requirements.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and support the Corporate Team of Operations
  • Responsible for safely equipping truck with all tools and materials required
  • Ensure vehicle and equipment are cleaned, maintained, and used in a safe manner
  • Complete driver hours, mileage, and fuel logs in accordance with policies and regulations
  • Communicate with Track Project Manager and production crews
  • Make decisions in the field to prevent project delays
  • Plan routes to meet delivery schedules
  • Perform pre-trip, enroute and post-trip inspection of vehicle
  • Transport of materials and equipment between shop, project sites and suppliers
  • Load and unload cargo and prepare required bills of lading
  • Stage materials on job sites as directed
  • Comply with all appropriate traffic laws
  • Abide by required policies and procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications

 

  • Degree: HS diploma/GED required
  • Experience:
    • Possess a valid, appropriately classed driver's license free of any major infractions and meet DOT requirements.
    • OSHA 10 Hour Certification
  • Positive attitude: Ability to communicate effectively with customers, crews, and supervisors; Strong organizational skills; Attention to detail; Confidence to make decisions and accept constructive criticism; Willingness to contribute to success of team
